CIFS/SMB Implementation Blogs
The posts in this blog are intended to facilitate software that exploits the CIFS/SMB network file system protocol. With the advent of the Microsoft Communications Protocol Program (MCPP) and its EU equivalent (WSPP), perhaps the development of such software will become a little more widespread. The information in this blog is carefully designed to respect all Intellectual Property rights and is intended to provide “implementation notes” as well as clarifications to any publicly available documentation. Implementation notes include information that is outside the scope of the SMB protocol, but vital to any working implementation.
